Decking at rear overlooking the waterfall and a log fire if it gets chilly in the evening.\nCOST: £40 for the weekend\, plus around £3 /£4 for a two course dinner Sat night. Bring your own beer or wine (or tea) and don’t forget your other food for Fri/Sat\, trail fodder\, and your sleeping bag.                                     STUFF you need to know: The catering corps will be in action Sat night\, although you could try the Bryn Tyrch 200m away. Limited parking\, share if you can.                                                                                                                            BEST PUB : By far\, the Tan Y Coed in Capel. Excellent food\, free house however\, Plas y Brenin is also close by and serves food too. We’ll probably be in here Fri night.

DESCRIPTION:Brackenclose was the first hut owned by the Fell & Rock Climbing Club and the only one which is architect designed and purpose built. We’ve booked it MON-THURS (poss Fri) to follow on from our long weekend in Coniston\, giving us a two-centre week in The Lakes.The high crags and tops of the Scafells\, Great Gable and Pillar are all within striking distance for both climbing and walking. When these are out of condition\, Buckbarrow and Wallabarrow in Dunnerdale provide good sport for climbers and walkers can explore the lower tops and side valleys. The world famous Wasdale Head Inn is a mile away.Early booking is essential for this rare opportunity.
